So, of all the things to stay up late to finish watching, I don't recommend Dominion: The Prequel to Exorcist being one of them. The astute of you will think this title sounds familiar, but will also recognize it isn't directed by Renny Harlin. That film, box office crap that it was, was entitled Excorcist: The Beginning. The difference? I'm glad you asked.

Dominion and Exorocist: The Beginning (herein called E:TB) have effectively the same plot. However, when the director of Dominion didn't deliver a bloody enough film, the backers fired him and hired Harlin who promptly reshot 90% of the film. E:TB is typical Hollywood fare attempting to scare through use of gore. Dominion does a much better job of telling the story. And while I may be Agnostic, that demon-possession shit is scary as hell. Especially at 12AM.

Long story short, if you want an interesting, if at times poorly acted, psychological drama with a bit of demonic possession thrown in on the side, shoot for Dominion. If you want Cutthroat Island with Satan, then E:TB is your film. Either way, though, Stellan Skarsgård does an excellent job.

Now. Off to watch tv shows till I've got that unibrow kid out of my head...
